city breath
A woman transforms the chaos and beauty of the city into a source of peace and power.
In this short film, I explore the interconnectedness of our own bodies and the space that surrounds us. How do we parallel, internalize, and emulate our natural and built environment? Can we learn not to dismiss external entities as foreign and distracting obstacles, but to see them instead as sources of inspiration and power?
I was inspired by street photographers like Robert Frank, capturing the raw energy of the city and the people who live in it. I intercut this aesthetic with a more deliberate and meditative movement in order both to show their contrasts and to bring them into resolution with each other.
